Very little in my job is actually WORTH stressing over.
So why is saturday afternoon the most stressful day of our lives??
Urgency.
We demand fast service and rush to get food out because that's what we do.
It's fast food, that's how it works.
But too often, after shouting at a cashier for taking seven minutes with a special order, we go home and spend two to three hours on the internet.
I feel no urgency to job hunt... or apply to more graduate schools... or submit work to get published.
I'm stressed about it don't get me wrong, but the urgency that I sometimes feel at work over things that really don't matter would be better served in those constructive areas of my life.
New goal- move urgency from making milkshakes, to writing and all that jazz.
stay productive!

Lessons from fast food
The more appreciative you are of what someone does, the more they WANT to go the extra mile for you and help you. If you treat people like they owe you obedience, (even if they do) the more they feel used and tired of being told what to do. If someone comes in early to help you, don't act angry when they want to leave on time. Show appreciation when people do something good and they will desire to do more to help you. Your attitude affects how much I will genuinely do everything I can to help whoever you are, be it my boss or a customer.

More stuff I paid to learn
Okay, here is part two of what I learned in college... well it's what I can remember now anyways =]
1.) Don't PANIC. Classes change, degrees fall through, your best friend will stab you in the back, money can be an issue. . . yes, these things happen. ALWAYS think, in 5 years will I still be worried about this?
2.) If the answer to the above question is NO, then do what you can or just eat some ice cream.
3.) If the answer to the above question is YES, make a plan, even if it's a far out plan. Take baby steps. One day at a time. Justttttt ONE.
4.) Ask for help. You don't know everything, asking for help gets difficult things done a lot faster.
5.) Guys will usually be thinking about sex.
6.) Girls will usually be thinking of why they're self conscious.
7.) Don't worry about finding friends, just go to work and do what you do. Friends pop up everywhere if you smile at people and ask questions.
8.) Mistakes are usually the funniest stories. Don't forget them or stay humiliated.
9.) Getting up early sounds awesome the day before.
10.) Most important relationship in life- you and sleep. Not sleeping makes you age and get sick.
11.) Don't be the person in the study/work group who doesn't shut up. Distractions are fun, but often get cut out of groups.
12.) Be present. When you're with people don't keep your attention on your phone. It makes people feel awkward and shows immaturity. If you needa text someone back, you say hey sorry I need to answer so and so real quick about my elephant in the lake.
13.) Sparknotes will save you.
14.) Wikipedia will screw you over.
15.) Encourage people and don't be condescending, the more you bring others up, the more others will want to be around you.
16.) Eat breakfast. For real, just do.
17.) Be thankful. Sometimes life is overwhelming YES, but we're all here working towards something and by the GRACE of God we are healthy enough to do that and able to work towards a dream. Most countries don't give the people dreams or means to work.
Okay, this is all I have for now! There might be a part three, there might be somethin different. Either way, stay well and keep smiling =]

And the moral of the story IS. . .
Okay, this is long overdue. Here is a list of things I learned in college. Some, are funny, some are serious, some are about college, some are about growing up...and some will make you wonder what on earth I did for the past four years UCF.
PART THE FIRST:
1.) Go to class.
2.) Getting a B or even a C in a class will actually not kill you. A degree is a degree, a GPA is a number.
3.) You can study for seven hours and fail a test, you can also barely study and ace another test.
4.) It's amazing what smiling at someone can do when you need help... or want to make a friend.
5.) Stick with people who build you up... and people who have good habits (like studying... or working out.) YOU ARE WHO YOU HANG OUT WITH.
6.) Don't argue with the professor.
7.) Study... but not too much. HAVE FUN! Do things you've never done before even if they don't sound fun. Go to all the events, see the crazyness, BE the crazyness. This is the time to do everything you wanted to do when you were ten. Yea. Eat all the ice cream in the carton.
8.)LAUGH a lot. Don't get bothered by teachers who have accents or tests that come up outta nowhere. If you can't change it, find a way to make life FUN... or a funny story.
9) Do what you LOVE doing. Don't try to force yourself into a career that you don't have a passion for. Life is too short to choose money over JOY.
10.) Friends come and go. BUT that means that you get to make new friends and get to know different people and learn from them. Don't lose touch with your family, they matter.
11.) Pita and Hummus can be eaten at any time in massive quantities.
12.) No one wants to hear about your SAT score once your in college.
13.) If you stay up all night doing anything, you will spend the next two days in a state of exhaustion.
14.) Be careful who you trust. If you tell one person, you oftentimes tell TEN.
15.) Don't be swayed by flattery, wait for a guy who opens your door and can TALK to you for hours.
16.) If you're gonna drink, be safe. Be with a group of friends you trust, have a driver, stick together, don't leave your drink alone. And don't swim if you've had a bit too much.
17.) Take pictures of everything.
18.) Professors are people too... kinda.. talk to them lots in the office and you will succeed in class.
That's it for part one. More to come <3
